I know that politely is one answer, but can we use gentle also as antonym of rudelyWhat are the antonyms of rudely?
Suavely, courteously, civilly, respectably...
The word gentle is probably not the way to go. I wouldn't really consider the word "rudely" to be associated and have a synonym of "Rough" etc. What are the antonyms of rudely?
Thesaurus.com lists these antonyms 'civilly, courteously, politely, suavely "
With the correct context, you could use gently to mean the opposite. "He rudely told her that he does not want to date her any longer" as opposed to "He gently told her that he does not want to date her any longer"
Thesaurus.com does list roughly, bluntly, etc. as synonyms for rudely and gently could be used as opposites for those.
